Rhyan Emery Taylor has had a creative interest since early childhood, selling her drawings made of crayons and construction paper in her front yard lemonade stand. She has been active in sharing her passion for the arts ever since. She has taught art in various schools, workshops, camps, and art parties. Her personal work is a continuous exploration of the various perceptions and structures of reality. She expresses an interest in the surreal, offering a visual interpretation of her inner thoughts and curiosities. Taylor received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in photography at Louisiana Tech University. As a professional photographer with over ten year’s hands-on experience in fashion, wedding, product, and portrait photography, Taylor strives to capture memories in a unique manner. Taylor is a member of the Society for Photographic Education and was granted a scholarship award to attend the 2013 National Conference in Chicago. She has been published in Photographer's Forum Best of College Photography’s annual book in June 2013. Her work has been featured in the Louisiana Tech University’s Annual Juried Student Show in 2011, 2012, and received Best of Show in 2013. She has received recognition from jpg mag.com’s Best Of photography challenges for the themes In Order, The Awakening, and Things Organized Neatly. Her work is comprised of constructions in unusual settings that are generated from her eccentric childlike imagination.
